When I was in college, I went over to a friend's house with my buddies, Lisa and Shira. Our friend had several cats, and by several, I mean that our friend was a crazy cat lady with five or more cats (no offense to you crazy cat ladies out there). When we were leaving, Shira said, "Oh my god you guys! I sat in cat pee! So the whole time we were there, I was trying to think of the positives of sitting in cat pee." Lisa and I fell on the ground laughing, and we told her it was actually febreze and not cat pee. For the rest of the semester, "What are the positives of sitting in cat pee?" became our motto.
It went something like this --
Shira: "I had a sucky day."
Lisa: "Oh yea? What are the positives of sitting in cat pee?"
cue: Laughter.
--or--
Me: "I think I failed my assignment."
Shira: "Oh yea, what are the positives of sitting in cat pee?"
cue: Laughter.
To this day, I have never forgotten this motto. The truth is, if you can find the positives of sitting in cat pee, you can probably find a positive in almost anything.
